Explosive Device Relay Box

The Tale

Back around 1975 I had a small surplus store, Hopkins Electronics located in Cocoa, Florida. It was stocked with excess hardware from nearby Kenedy Space Center and Patrick Air Force Base. At one of the sales I purchased some outmoded spare parts for the Lunar Module (LM). When I had these parts in the store I put a high price on them so I could keep them. I Eventually sold the business but kept a few choice pieces for myself. I didn't know what to do with them. Most people were not interested in them so they were stowed in the attic or the garage. Thirty years later I moved to Winter Haven. Still I could not find a place to display the junk but they they became more precious to me. Two years later I moved to Vero Beach and my precious junk is still with me. I think it should be worth something if I can find the right market. I can't imagine what the original cost must have been. The value now can be measured many ways. It all depends upon the market strategy.

External Appearance

This is a black box approximately 24cm long, 19 cm high and 16 cm wide. It has mounting flanges on each side, about 6cm from the bottom. There are electrical connectors on each end.
